Rozza

Rozza is a bold stencil italic typeface, designed according to a modular principle. Its construction is rigid and deliberate, yet carries a sense of living plasticity. The visual language of the typeface refers to Suprematist compositions, where letters appear as groups of abstract shapes governed by rhythm and direction.

This typeface was created not as a tool, but as an autonomous artistic work. Whether it appears beautiful or threatening — it doesn’t matter. That is merely a side effect of its internal tension. Rozza doesn’t aim to be neutral or comfortable — it is pure expression without a purpose. It’s not a typeface for solving problems, but form for the sake of form: a graphic statement that exists on its own terms.

Rozza is an experiment — and a challenge: to the author, to the user, to the viewer. It lives on the edge of legibility: still letters, but nearly ornament. It’s not just a decorative typeface, but a typeface-as-concept.
